Tim is James & Wells Managing Partner. He is also responsible for James & Wells Commercial Law Team, is a member of the Hamilton Trade Marks team and James & Wells ‘Food and Beverage Innovation’ team. He specialises in the software, technology, food, beverage, and nutraceutical sectors.
Managing large trade mark portfolios, completing clearance investigations for new brands, devising filing strategies, establishing brand ownership, and enforcing trade marks overseas are all part of Tim’s practice.
Tim has an impressive list of clients including Xero Ltd, Vend, Prolife Foods Ltd, New Image Group, Quantec Ltd, Dairy NZ and Southern Produce.
Having worked for many global companies, Tim has invaluable knowledge and experience which helps clients to leverage their intellectual property.When he gets the chance to leave the office, he heads straight to the coast to unwind and go fishing
Tim is an expert in international trade mark issues, having worked as an attorney in Europe dealing with the European Community Trade Mark Office and the International Trade Mark system (Madrid).
