Samuel Parkinson

Patent Executive

Samuel joined the Hamilton Patents Team in 2017. His engineering experience and knowledge of electronics is currently being used for searching, drafting and prosecuting patent applications.

Samuel has passed the academic requirements for registration as a Trans-Tasman Patent Attorney and is currently accruing the required hours for registration.

Samuel joined James & Wells from Gallagher Group Ltd where his role of Senior Electronics Engineer saw him developing many products including animal weigh-scales, electronic identification (EID) readers and security access control readers. Samuel also worked on a variety of intellectual property matters at Gallagher.

Samuel also has a strong software development background having worked on various embedded software projects, as well as developing electronic test fixtures. Sam’s software expertise has primarily been in C, C# and JAVA.

His thesis centred on the design and development of impulse regeneration technology to extend the working range of electric fence networks, and advanced electric fence fault finding equipment using Time Domain Reflectometry (TDR).
