James is a Solicitor in the Hamilton Litigation team. He joined James & Wells in 2018. His practice includes enforcement and dispute resolution across a range of intellectual property rights, but with an emphasis on patent issues.
With over three years’ experience as a Judges’ Clerk at the Hamilton District Court, James has a keen eye for research and the preparation of written material. He also contributes to New Zealand’s leading text on intellectual property law, James & Wells Intellectual Property Law in New Zealand.
Outside of work, James is a published short story author. He also enjoys travelling, photography and is a keen armchair sports critic (particularly in cricket and Formula 1).
