David advises clients on freedom to operate and infringement issues, protectability, filing strategies, and ownership disputes. He has particular experience in relation to alcoholic beverages industry advising on trade mark availability for use and registration, product labelling, and advertising standards. This experience extends into other areas of the fast moving consumer goods category.
David’s clients range from start-ups to established businesses looking to secure their competitive advantage. He enjoys working with these clients to find the best solution to their problems and to secure their position in the market.
David is currently studying towards qualification as a Patent Attorney. He is a student member of the New Zealand Institute of Patent Attorneys and a member of the New Zealand Institute of Chemistry
