James & Wells employees involved in Waikato’s ‘Buddy Day’ awareness for child abuse programme
Extra (cardboard) people could be found in the James & Wells
office last Friday, when a number of employees adopted a 'Buddy'
for the day. The 'buddy's were involved with day to day activities,
including client meetings and out for lunch.
The 'Buddy Day' programme was designed to raise awareness for child
abuse. The campaign saw 180 life-sized cardboard children on
display around Hamilton. The cardboard cut outs represented 10% of
the 1800 child abuse cases reported in the Waikato region last
year.
The Buddy Day organisers said "We love James & Wells! You guys
took the most Buddies of any company." Watch the news clip on
TVNZ.

E2theMax Business Makeover Challenge Reveal Event
'To be considered a direct contributor to New Zealand's
prosperity' is part of the James & Wells vision, and being
involved in the E2theMax Challenge went a long way in helping us to
achieve this vision.
The E2theMax Business Makeover Challenge Reveal event was held
last week. After 12 weeks of mentoring from different experts, nine
businesses were boosted in the challenge.
James & Wells expertise helped a number of these businesses
to understand where Intellectual Property protection fits in the
overall picture.
Congratulations to our client, Gareth Moore from School of Rock,
winning one of the awards for the most significantly boosted
business in 2010.
